Massage is
considered to be among the oldest of all therapeutic
treatments used today and is part of many health, wellness and
physical rehabilitation programs. Massage has proven
beneficial to many chronic conditions such as low back pain,
headaches, arthritis and bursitis and can help relieve the
stress and tension of everyday living.
Massage
Therapy provides relief to people from all walks of life—the
weekend athlete, the avid exerciser, the overstressed
executive as well as the busy stay at home mom. Taking care of
yourself should be at the top of your list of priorities. You
will feel and look better if you take time to help reduce
stresses in your life. Stress relief alone can improve your
vitality and state of mind. Massage can play an important role
in your life!
BENEFITS OF MASSAGE:
Massage
and bodywork can help release chronic muscular tension and
pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce
mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing
of muscle injuries, improve posture and reduce blood pressure.
Massage is also known to promote better sleep, improve
concentration, reduce anxiety and create an overall sense of
well-being.
THE MASSAGE EXPERIENCE:
During a
massage therapy session, most people experience an extremely
relaxing and inviting atmosphere. The therapy room is warm
with dim lighting and soft music playing. Clients can choose
to have a half hour, 1 hour, or 90 minute massage session. You
should try to completely relax and enjoy this special stress
free time. Since toxins are released from your soft tissues
during a massage, it is recommended that you drink plenty of
water following your massage. |
